How to watch Press TV in UK

Censorship is a way to keep people from knowing the truth. In the UK Press TV is no longer on the air as of January 20 2012.
Check this link for more information.
Press TV was menace to imperialist UK’
Just last week the US tried to pass a couple of bills to censor the internet and people, millions spoke  out against both bills and as a result both bills were stopped. They will of course try again in the near future.
Now the UK is censoring the news people view by removing Press tv. It is a sad day when a country that brags of Free Speech removes a News station from the airwaves. Many people are concerned and so they should be.
What will they try to censor next?
Fortunately Press TV viewers in the UK can continue to watch the news channel via the following satellites or by visiting the following websites despite the British Office of Communications (Ofcom) removing the channel from the Sky platform.

You can watch Press TV broadcast from anywhere in the world by visiting the following websites:

· Press TV watch live services (Worldwide)

· Zattoo (Internet platform and IPTV. Supports PC, MAC, Linux and all tablet PCs and smartphones) (UK)

· OHTV Box (Internet Set-top box) (Worldwide)

· Roku Box (Internet Set-top box) (Worldwide) (Available in UK from January 2012)

·
Livestation (Internet platform. Supports PC MAC, Linux and all tablet PCs and smartphones)

You could also view their broadcast through the following satellites:

I was taking a vacation away from things for a while, but this I just had to post this.

I hate censorship of News.

Obviously Press tv was doing a great job otherwise they would not have been taken off the air.

I have visited their site many times and their news is not filled with propaganda. It is short sweet and to the point. They also do not fill it with with personal opinions like much of the main stream media in the US. Even in Britain much of the media just tows the war propaganda line of the Government.  They feed the population with misinformation instead of the truth.  Such a shame they are not allowed to be more truthful.

Most people  who want real truth do not depend on the main stream media, as they know all to well the BS they spin to persuade the people their wars are justified.

War is for profit and control over resources, not to help or protect anyone.

Wars are for greed and power nothing else.

Iran is not the one that starts wars.

The US,  Britain and Israel seem to be doing everything in their power to make Iran seem like the evil demons, but the ones who are always starting wars is everyone else other then Iran.

Seems those who want war are those who want oil.

The EU are now not going to make any new contracts with Iran for oil. I guess they will be stealing the oil from Libya.

If the price of Gasoline and heating oil go up in the UK to bad so sad, your Governments want it that way and the prices will go up mark my words.

All because of political BS and Greed. Then there is the fact war is very profitable for some.  The 1% that is.

US Senate votes to ban big bank ‘bailouts’

May 5 2010

WASHINGTON — Spurred by deep election-year voter anger, the US Senate voted Wednesday to forbid government-funded bailouts of big banks  like those blamed for the global economic meltdown of 2008.

In their first substantive vote on the most sweeping finance industry overhaul since the Great Depression of the 1930s, the lawmakers agreed by a 96-1 margin to an amendment banning future taxpayer rescues.

The measure, crafted by Democratic Senator Barbara Boxer, aimed to prohibit vastly unpopular bailouts of so-called “too big to fail” firms that might have won government help because their collapse would cripple the economy.

Senators, who were expected to take at least two weeks to pass the overall legislation, also voted 93-5 to approve a compromise plan for “orderly liquidation” to take apart failing financial giants.

Democratic Senator Chris Dodd, chairman of the senate banking committee, announced earlier that he and the panel’s top Republican, Senator Richard Shelby, had reached a deal on that provision after months of talks.

Dodd said he had agreed to drop plans to create a 50-billion-dollar fund, drawn from Wall Street, to cover possible liquidation expenses — a proposal opposed by President Barack Obama’s administration.

The fund, which some Republicans had wrongly painted as a “bailout” fund, would be replaced by liquidating the troubled company or assessing a fee on other major financial firms.

“Because whether they pay in advance or after the fact, these costs will be paid by Wall Street and not taxpayers, I have no objection to dropping that provision,” Dodd said in a statement.

The plan puts the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, an independent agency, in charge of “orderly liquidation” of a big failing firm; dictates that shareholders and unsecured creditors will bear losses; and removes top executives.

Regulators will also have the power to break up a firm if it poses a serious threat to US financial stability.

US Treasury Secretary Timothy Geither praised the Senate vote, saying: “The strong bipartisan support for this provision demonstrates the growing momentum for passing comprehensive financial reform.”

The accord between Dodd and Shelby removed some obstacles to the legislation, Obama’s top domestic priority, but the two parties were expected to feud on other key provisions.

Both sides have said they want to end government bailouts to such banks — like the 700-billion-dollar Troubled Asset Relief Program approved when the financial industry seemed poised to collapse in late 2008.

The two sides were expected to feud over the creation of a new agency to protect consumers from shady finance practices and over how tightly to regulate derivatives, complex financial instruments blamed for stoking speculative fires but widely used by many companies to cope with volatile commodity prices.

Recent polls have found that the US public overwhelmingly favors tough new rules on Wall Street, leading Democrats to paint Republicans as being in the pocket of big banks.

In a sign of the partisan rancor, Democratic Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid charged at a press conference that “Republicans are having difficulty determining how they’re going to continue making love to Wall Street.  Source

Canada unfairly blocked British MP George Galloway, court hears

Brendan Kennedy
April 28 2010

Senior government officials, including Immigration Minister Jason Kenney, acted unfairly, with political bias and an intent to punish George Galloway and his supporters when they banned the controversial British MP from Canada last year, lawyers for a coalition of groups opposed to the ban told a Federal Court hearing Wednesday.

“There was no threat to national security,” said Hadayt Nazami, who is working with human rights and immigration lawyer Barbara Jackman for the Toronto Coalition to Stop the War and other groups who had organized Galloway’s 2009 Canadian speaking tour.

Nazami and Jackman argued that the decision to bar Galloway from the country was made by senior officials in the Immigration and Public Safety Ministries because they did not agree with Galloway’s views on the Afghanistan war.

Galloway, a controversial anti-war politician, was supposed to make a four-city Canadian speaking tour in March 2009, but was barred from the country for allegedly providing financial and material support for Hamas, the political and paramilitary group that governs Gaza and is denounced by Canada and several other countries as a terrorist organization.

He was allowed into the U.S. last year, ended up addressing Canadian audiences from New York City via a video link.

“This was clearly an exercise in taunting Mr. Galloway by senior levels of government,” Jackman said.

The lawyers argued the government’s decision to ban Galloway was inconsistent with immigration policy and politically motivated. It also infringed on Canadians’ rights to freedom of expression and assembly by preventing them from hearing Galloway speak.

“Freedom to speak and freedom to hear are inseparable,” Jackman told Justice Mosley.

Jackman said while Galloway is not a Canadian citizen, he is still entitled to fair treatment by immigration officials, regardless of his political opinions, and if Canada is to follow its own laws, Galloway must be allowed to enter and speak in Canada.

Labelling the polarizing politician a terrorist is a misuse of Canada’s anti-terror laws, Jackman said.

“When our parliament passed that legislation it was to protect our country from people who throw bombs, not people who buy incubators,” she said, referring to the medical supplies Galloway’s envoy delivered to Hamas.

Government lawyers will make their arguments when court resumes Wednesday afternoon.

Galloway’s 2009 envoy mission to Gaza was humanitarian in nature, and does not make him a member of Hamas or complicit in their paramilitary activities, Jackman argued, noting that Canada also provided aid to the region after it was attacked by Israel.

“If in fact Mr. Galloway is a terrorist for providing aid to the elected government of Gaza, then our Prime Minister is as well.”

The Conservative government says it regards Galloway as a security threat based on allegations he provided humanitarian goods and $35,000 in aid money to Hamas when he led an envoy to Gaza in February 2009.

In upholding the ban last year, the federal court judge cited a letter written to Galloway by Canada’s high commission in London that cited “information that indicates you organized a convoy worth over one million British pounds in aid and vehicles, and personally donated vehicles and financing to Hamas Prime Minister Ismail Haniya.”

Galloway, who denied supporting terrorism, has argued he could only show his support for people in Gaza by dealing with its elected Hamas government. An MP for 23 years, Galloway was expelled from Britain’s Labour Party in 2003 for urging British soldiers not to fight in Iraq.

I guess every one who donates or is a member of the United Nations is also guilty of helping those in Gaza. Boy that would be a long list of folks to bar from Canada. Canada would have to bar all Canadians as well.

Well now that is interesting isn’t it. How foolish to bar  George from Canada. George is a good man.

George a terrorist now that’s funny.  Somehow I don’t see any connection to him being a terrorist.

Well if there was ever a terrorist one must say is a wonderful man, it would be George.  Yup George is my kind of terrorist for sure.

Talk about a total abuse of power by the Canadian Government officials who did this. Shame on them. They should be charged with a few crimes.

It does make one wonder when they use the word “terrorist” what it really means.

If George is considered a terrorist then so are billions of others who have helped or spoken in favor of those in Gaza.

So there must be a few billion terrorists in the world and most of those billions are like George Galloway.  Awesome. Take pride in being a Terrorist my friends seems they are the “Good Guys”.

Gives the word a whole new meaning doesn’t it?

I guess if you support someone like George Galloway you too are also considered a terrorist.

Oh my God I just realized I am a terrorist too.  How profound.

The lesson we can learn from this is just because some one in Government  calls someone a terrorist does not make it true.

One has to wonder how many people have been accused of being a Terrorist, but are simply just very nice respectable people.

Many Canadians were furious with the Canadian Government over this incident, so I guess since they supported George they too are also terrorists as well…. Imagine that.

I do hope the Legal system in Canada does see fit, to have those responsible for this outrageous action prosecuted.

They are the real criminals in all of this.

George is the victim, as is the freedom of Speech in Canada.

If Israel would remove the blockade none of this would be happening.

The people in Gaza do not have what most take from Granted in their live. Enough food, clothing, medical care etc. The list is very long.

The most ridiculous thing Israel has done is ban shoes from Gaza.

Finally last month they allowed shoes into Gaza. Now is that not a bit strange, to ban shoes of all things. You really have to wonder about a countries Government, when they do something so utterly insane.

Imagine your country without shoes for three years.

Israel to Allow Shoes into Gaza Strip After Three Year Ban

Canada’s Freedom Of speech is under attack. The Canadian Government need to be told in no uncertain terms, that Canadians  Freedom of Speech is not negotiable..

Without “Freedom of Speech” the country it is no longer a “Free Country”.  It would become, just anther Dictatorship Country.

Israel to Allow Shoes into Gaza Strip After Three Year Ban

Pressure From US Seen as Key to Allowing Footwear Into Strip

by Jason Ditz,
March 29, 2010

According to Palestinian officials, the Israeli government has made one of its most significant revisions to the Gaza blockade in three years, allowing the importation of shoes and certain types of clothes into the tiny enclave.

Israel has not allowed any shoes to be legally brought into the Gaza Strip since 2007, and officially cemented the ban in 2008 under the claim that shoes were a ‘dual use technology.’ This argument was based on claims that since militaries wear shoes as part of their uniforms, any shoes imported into the strip might be used as part of a military uniform. This same argument was made in the banning of many types of clothing.

For those who could afford it, this meant having to import shoes by way of the tunnels into Egypt, which regularly come under Israeli bombardment because they allow the importation of banned goods, from shoes to iPods to cars. For Gaza’s poor however, importation is not an option and they must make do with what they have or go without.

Officials say that the move is a concession by the Israeli government after pressure from the Obama Administration. The shoes will be allowed in later in the week, after the Passover holiday blockade is lifted. It is unclear if the move signals a semi-permanent end to the ban on shoes, or if the shipment will be a one-shot deal.

I find it hard to believe that any country would ban shoes of all things.

Then again posting a story on it, is not an every day occurrence.

To ban shoes is ridiculous in the first place.

Imagine if shoes were banned from your country for three years.

Israel does a lot of ridiculous things, this is just one.

If shoes were banned in the US, Canada or Britain imagine the uproar.

But it was quiet alright to ban them from Gaza.

This just proves Israel is doing deliberate things to  torment and antagonize those in Gaza.

Banning shoes how pathetic.

Is there any other county in the World that bans foot wear?

I could be wrong but the answer is NO.

Well lets give them  a pat on the back for being so gracious, as to allow shoes into Gaza. Gee now Israel can  be so proud of itself.

No excuse is acceptable for such behavior.

Maybe shoes should be banned from Israel. Just imagine how they would react to a shoe ban????????

On March 5 2010 Channel 4 aired an episode of Dispatches entitled “The Children of Gaza”. It is heart breaking,  but you must watch it. The children tell their stories. Through the eyes of the children.

Jewish lobby wages war on Christmas trees and all symbols of Christianity

December 8 2009
Lobby for Jewish values passes out fliers against hotels, restaurants putting up Christmas trees, other Christian symbols ahead of civil New Year, say businesses who do so risk losing kosher certification

By Ari Galhar
A new front for religious battles: Hotels and restaurants. The “Lobby for Jewish values” this week began operating against restaurants and hotels that plan to put up Christmas trees and other Christian symbols ahead of Christmas and the civil New Year.

According to the lobby’s Chairman, Ofer Cohen, they have received backing by the rabbis, “and we are even considering publishing the names of the businesses that put up Christian symbols ahead of the Christian holiday and call for a boycott against them.”

Fliers and ads distributed among the public read, “The people of Israel have given their soul over the years in order to maintain the values of the Torah of Israel and the Jewish identity.

“You should also continue to follow this path of the Jewish people’s tradition and not give in to the clownish atmosphere of the end of the civil year. And certainly not help those businesses that sell or put up the foolish symbols of Christianity.”

The Jerusalem Rabbinate also works each year to ensure restaurants and hotels receiving kosher certification from the Jerusalem Religious Council do not put up Christian symbols.

According to a senior official in the kashrut department, this is done each year consensually, but that businesses which do not meet this requirement may find their kashrut certificate revoked.

It should be noted that most of the hotels in Jerusalem and a significant part of the restaurants in the capital receive permanent kosher certification from the city’s religious council.

Seems a few have way too much time on their hands.

This is called bigotry, religious intolerance and a few other things…..

Well if the shoe were on the other foot I am sure this Jewish Lobby group would be screaming from the roof tops, anti Semitic.

This is anti Christian.  Equally a bad thing. I see no difference what so ever.

You reap what you sow and this is the seed of hate.

So again another seed of hate has been sown, by a lobby group.  I suppose they think they speak for all Jews.  How self centered they are. In  a world filled with numerous religions, this is just one example of religious intolerance.  Soon they will be peddling their hate across the planet telling others what religious holidays they can celebrate.

We keep hearing that Israel is a democracy and fair minded towards others,  but it seems that it again been proven to be untrue.

I would suggest to all, not to visit Israel. Seems Christians and those from other religions are not welcome. With so many other wonderful vacation spots in the world,  seems a simple thing to do.

Empty hotels and restaurants might give a loud message.

In the world of business there are more non Jews in the world and they have the power to boycott any business that adheres to such a bigoted restriction.

If you criticize Israel however this is what one gets. A bombardment of hate mail.

Perils of criticizing Israel

My advice keep all the mail and republish it so the public can see just how bad it is.  Honest Reporting is anything but Honest.
